Mutt Rider Eleanor Gecks | Carve Your Own Path. #CYOP
We like to feel the Mutt pack is a bit of an extended family and we’re always fascinated to meet Mutt riders, find out more about their story, talk bikes and find out why they chose their own personal Mutt.
Earlier this month we caught up with the Actor, Writer, Mutt rider and Free Spirt Eleanor Gecks in Hackney, London to chat more about her Fat Sabbath 125cc. It didn’t take long to see the bond figured she’d made with her Fat Sabbath — “Cilla. As in she’s Cilla Black,” says Eleanor, sat in a coffeeshop, vintage Canon AV-1 35mm film camera in one hand and Black Sabbath keyring hanging off the hip.
Eleanor first discovered her love of motorcycles whilst travelling around India, a place she has visited every year for the past 15 years. “It feels like home, and I am gutted that I haven’t had a chance to get out there this year”. Eleanor’s first bike she ever rode was an Enfield, and since then couldn’t think of a better way to travel. Self-confessed Tom Boy, Eleanor strongly feels that girls shouldn’t have to fit a stereotype, she also boxes at Left Hook Boxing in Shadwell and loves all things extreme sports. “For the first time in London, since getting my Mutt, I actually feel like I have freedom, and I can’t wait to explore further a field.”
A year into motorcycling and she’s hooked. Test booked for a full license and ordered her upgrade her Fat Sabbath 125 to a Mutt 250, bespoke build of course.
