If you were down at #68DarleyStreet Mona Vale on the 13th of July then you would have had a big surprise! Darley Street is usually busy on a Saturday but on the 13th there was a noticeable rumbling sound to be heard all day as a huge part of the motorcycle community came along to support the launch of the Mutt brand on Australian shores.
Mona Vale, Sydney is the home for the brand along with being the new northside meeting point for riders heading on a run to Palm Beach or going for a squirt up Mccarrs Creek Road to the world-class roads through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
The launch party itself was a brilliant day with British style pork and stuffing rolls lubricated by @blackspecialtycoffee all morning and @modusoperandibrewing in the afternoon and evening. Aboriginal artist @saltwaterdreamtime came down and did a live custom bike painting while Chris Raggatt played the blues. The early evening moved over to the in-house theatre for a moto short film finish to an exciting event.
Along with all of the legends who came to celebrate with us, the heros of the event, of course, were the Mutt Motorcycles themselves. Test riders were tearing around Mona Vale all day grinning from ear to ear as they experienced the torquey 250cc singles crisp power. There is no denying that the bikes are fun to ride. The whole range is learner approved (LAMS), lightweight and confidence-inspiring for learner riders whilst more experienced riders take advantage of the flickable rideability.
The launch served as a testbed for how Mutt Motorcycles plan to use the space at #68DarleyStreet with movie nights, ride-outs and many more events planned throughout the year. Follow @muttmotorcycles_aus and subscribe to the newsletter here to make sure that you don't miss out!
