On Sunday the 23rd of May 2021, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride again united classic and vintage style motorcycle riders all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. The 700+ guys and gals on the Sydney ride came together to raise some money, chat bikes and have some fun.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of the TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives. Here at Mutt, we love getting scrubbed up and getting stuck in.

Morning of the ride, the Sydney store was the first meeting place for the Mutters, some folk coming quite a distance in the cold to come get involved with this great cause! As ever, everyone who came was dressed to the nine’s and couldn’t wait to get on the road!

We then ventured down to Moore Park in the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney which was the start and finish point for this year’s event to meet the crowds gathering there for the 2021 ride. The energy was amazing, with big smiles and some serious swagger from the masses, which over the 10 years of running this epic event, have helped raise a staggering $40+million AUD for the amazing guys at Movember.

We are spoilt here in Sydney with one of the most picturesque rides that feature the Sydney Opera House and a sprint over the Habour Bridge (twice!).

Below is the video we did for the 2019 DGR ride, We feel this brings the energy and the excitement of this amazing event to life! Who is riding with us next year and join the hundreds of other Mutts that took part??
